Who we are
Taxwatch is a group of Isle of Man residents with an interest in, or concern about, the effects of offshore finance centres, of which our Island is one of several.
Many of us believe that such activity denies legitimate tax revenues to other jurisdictions, near and far, rich or poor. We are also concerned that domestically, the 0% tax on companies confers inequitable benefit to residents able to channel and retain income in their companies.
What we do
- We hold informal meetings about once per quarter, open to all, usually with a guest speaker from the world of offshore business or politics.
- We share with each other relevant news stories and reports.
- We occasionally write to the local newspaper, and submit responses to government consultations on offshore issues.
